Easiest Vegan Chocolate Mousse Recipe [Healthy]

Ingredients (serves: 4)

Silken tofu (400 g)
Dark chocolate (vegan, 250 g):
Date sugar (or other healthy sweetener, 4 tbsp):
Rice milk (or oat milk; ½ cup/ 100 ml)

Kitchen equipment you need:

High speed blender:


1. Place the silken tofu, date sugar and rice milk in your high speed blender and blend until smooth.

2. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of slightly simmering water, over the lowest possible heat, stirring frequently. Make sure the water does not come in contact with the chocolate.

3. Add the melted chocolate to the silken tofu-mixture and blend again.

4. Cool the chocolate mousse in the fridge for 1 hour or in the freezer for about 15 minutes.



To obtain a creamy consistency, using a powerful high speed blender is crucial! Get it now 🙂

After cooling, your chocolate mousse will have a firmer consistency.

Silken tofu has a higher water content than regular tofu. It’s perfect for creamy desserts – so don’t replace it with regular tofu in this recipe!

Date sugar is the healthiest sweetener because it consists of dried and ground dates, so it is still full of nutrients. If you prefer, you can replace it with a different sweetener. You may have to use a little less if you replace it with regular sugar, which is sweeter than date sugar.
